Love Under Glass: Baby Jane Dexter & Her Trio Celebrate an Early Valentine's Day

Love under glass is a many splendid thing. Even more so when it's the barrel-vaulted, glass-enclosed World Financial Center Winter Garden and the love is an early celebration of Valentine's Day with a cabaret concert by Baby Jane Dexter & Her Trio Friday, February 6, at 12:30 pm at the World Financial Center, 220 Vesey Street.

Baby Jane Dexter is cabaret singer with a mountainous contralto. She is a chanteuse who delivers lyrics in big bursts of energy while holding her audience in the palm of her hand with passion and a warm personality. The New York Times has written that "Baby Jane Dexter may be the most talented singer within a time-honored genre of cabaret performer. Blunt, open-hearted and blues-tinged. Ms. Dexter doesn't read songs phrase by phrase for their literary nuances. She locates their emotional centers and stays there."
