NEW YORK - The restaurants of the World Financial Center are celebrating their culinary specialties, testing new menu items and showcasing signature dishes at EAT: World Financial Center Restaurant Showcase. The 16 eateries of the World Financial Center will offer a tasting of world class cuisine for as little as $1 (and as much as $5) under the palm trees of the World Financial Center Winter Garden, 220 Vesey Street, Thursday, July 9, from 11:00am to 2:30pm.

This popular event draws over 6,000 diners.

Brookfield Properties, owner of the World Financial Center, continues its "GO GREEN" campaign--all the plates, knives, forks and napkins are made from recycled materials and biodegradable.

In addition to the World Financial Center's great dining at EAT: World Financial Center Restaurant Showcase, River To River Festival and arts>World Financial Center are presenting Luminescent Orchestrii at 12:30pm free and outdoors on the World Financial Center Plaza. Luminescent Orchestrii is Romanian gypsy melodies, punk frenzy, salty tangos, rocking klezmer, hip-hop beats and Appalachian fiddle, performed on violins, guitar, bullhorn harmonica and bass.
